Former tennis star Jennifer Capriati, 28, serves ex-boyfriend a brutal beating after a rally that allegedly results in her warranted arrest.
The North Palm Beach Police Department is reportedly seeking an arrest warrant for Capriati for allegedly attacking Ivan Brannana, a former Florida State University golfer, states Sports Illustrated. She is apparently facing stalking and battery charges.
The report claims that Capriati and Brannan had an altercation outside of the men's locker room at the Oxygen Health and Fitness Gym in North Palm Beach, Florida. Capriati allegedly struck Brannan's chest with her fist repeatedly before a yoga instructor intervened and called the cops.
Capriati tried to flee the scene in her Porsche SUV, but cops tracked her down a few miles down the road. They only verified her identity and let her go while the warrant is still being considered by the Palm Beach County State Attorney. Mike Edmondson, a spokesman wit the SAO, declined comment on whether a warrant would actually be issued, Gossip Extra stated.
Capriati, meanwhile, contacted her lawyer Steve Sessa just in case, and the attorney apparently has no comment.
Around the same time, Brannan asked a Palm Beach County Circuit Court judge for a restraining order against Capriati. The judge declined the request despite the fact that police in Riviera Beach and Palm Beach Gardens investigated two incidents between the former couple. One of these incidents included Capriati being accused of calling Brannan at his workplace more than 100 times in one day, according to Gossip Extra.
Despite legal troubles during and after her playing career, Capriati was formerly a top-ranked player while winning 14 titles, including three Grand Slams. Capriati won a gold medal at the 1992 Olympics, claims TMZ.
Will Capriati's "grand slam" on ex-boyfriend land her behind the bars?
