Star Wars: The Force Awakens is soon going to hit the theaters and there are millions of fans who are eagerly waiting for Episode VII to get released. K-Pop's EXO members, Suho and Sehun, are the fanboys of the epic franchise and they are promoting the film in their own way.
As part of Walt Disney and SM Entertainment's collaboration, EXO members Chen, Kai and Suhi have promoted Star Wars: The Force Awakens in South Korea. The members from the k-pop band did a photo-shoot and an interview with Vogue.
During the interview with the fashion magazine, Suho said that in the past, their group has mentioned Star Wars many a times as they all are a huge fan of the series.
"When we were asked if we wanted to become honorary ambassadors for the film, we happily said it would be great," Suho further added.
According to Soompi, Suho mentioned that he really like the droids R2 and D2 from the films. Sehun also mentioned that their band member, Park Chanyeol, reminds him of Yoda.
Earlier this month, the entire group did a photo-shoot for Star Wars. EXO Member Kai said that during the photo-shoot, they all were acting like kids who love the Star Wars series.
"It was a lot of fun, and it seems like an experience we won't get to have again," he said. "In the future if I have the chance, I'd like to make an appearance."
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is slated to release in South Korea on Dec. 17. According to Kpopstarz, in order to promote the film, Disney collaborated with SM Entertainment to create the EXO track Lightsaber.
Meanwhile, the latest news that surfaced regarding the band is that it will perform the new single, "Song For You," on Dec. 21, 2015.
