The Philadelphia Flyers vs. the Boston Bruins battle it out on the ice at the TD Garden in Boston on Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. ET. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Saturday afternoon hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
The Flyers head into Saturday afternoon's game as the no 5 team in the NHL Eastern Atlantic Conference with an 11-13-1 record. Philly ranks no 22 overall out of 30 teams.
According to Bleacher Report sports columnist Maxwell Ogden, "Led by rising star Claude Giroux, the Philadelphia Flyers were a team that many expected to have significant postseason success in 2013. To start the season, however, Philly lost six of their first eight games. Between injuries and underwhelming goaltending, the Flyers failed to make the most of the talent on their roster. Fortunately, they've gone 9-7-1 in the 17 games since. Losing two in a row is a nice way to break that momentum."
The Bruins snag the no 2 spot in the Eastern Northeast Conference, with a 15-3-3 record. The team ranks no 4 overall. As Ogden points out, "The Boston Bruins have been one of the most consistent teams in the NHL this season. At 15-3-3, their record speaks volumes to such proficiency. That's why they're one point behind the Montreal Canadiens despite playing threefewer games than the Eastern Conference leaders. Unfortunately, Boston also lost to the Canadiens. That's a good way to drop down the power rankings when you truly don't deserve to. Tuukka Rask has been superb and Patrice Bergeron has emerged as one of the better goal scorers in the East. Together, they've led the Bruins to an excellent season. Boston remains a power, even without Tim Thomas."
The game will be broadcasted live on CSN-PH, NESN and NHLN, but fans can also listen in on the radio at Sports Hub 98.5, ESPN 101.3, 97.5 The Fanatic, and 94WIP.
