Pop singer Selena Gomez has been going places. She wants now to dance on her upcoming album reported MTV. Gomez is in cloud nine following the promotion of her teen movie "Spring Breakers."

She spoke to Teen Vogue on her upcoming album. She will be releasing a new single April.

"It is so much fun. I made a huge, fun dance record that I'm so proud of," she said.

Later she said that she has lot of recording work to do and added, "I got to record 20 or so great songs and work with a bunch of different producers, and they're all really fun pop songs; a little Ellie Goulding-ish, a little island-y feel. It's a really fun pop record. I'm super stoked for it. It's kind of been hush-hush about it, and I'm excited for the single to come out and for my fans to hear it."

The singer has not dropped any name for the album or for the single yet. When asked about the music video, she replied, "That actually wasn't for my music video!" she said. "They're just from a photo shoot I did. The pictures were everywhere and my friends were texting me, like, 'What's going on?!' That is exactly why I tell people not to believe what they read on the Internet."

MTV had reported that Gomez and country singer Taylor Swift were writing the song together. There have been seven odd singles from Gomez.

Gomez seems to have come out of her relationship with pop singer Justin Bieber.

She acts along with James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine, Heather Morris, Ash Lendzion and Gucci Mane on the "Spring Breakers" movie. The movie release is scheduled for March 29.
