Taylor Swift just gave an interview allowing fans an inside look behind the scenes of her commercial for Diet Coke's Stay Extraordinary campaign. The commercial, called "Music That Moves," will feature the singer's new single "22." The singer's sponsorship will also play a part in her new "Red" tour with Ed Sheeran starting this spring.
Swift's tour goes from March 13 in Omaha, Nebraska all the way through the fall, ending in Nashville, Tennessee on Sept. 21. Along the way, Swift and pal Ed Sheeran will be playing at Detroit's Ford Field, Dallas Cowboy's Stadium, and Soldiers Field in Chicago.
In an announcement back in January, Swift said about her new partnership with Diet Coke, "It's gonna include so many fun things having to do with the tour, having to do with Diet Coke in general, a behind-the-scenes of the commercial. I really can't wait to begin all this, and it's going to be an extraordinary ride."
"I think one of my favorite things about the Red tour is that one of the main focuses I had was incorporating the element of surprise, and incorporating the unexpected," Swift said.
Swift explained in her behind the scenes interview that a good concert can help fans escape, "I really like to think that a good concert can be like a good book; it can take you away, it can take you to a different place and help you escape, and I think that's the main goal for me - helping the fans to escape, if only just for one night."
Swift notes in the interview that she is trying to act her age and age gracefully. At 23, it is fun for Swift to play with different styles that relate to her age. Swift also says that she likes that the Diet Coke commercial showcased that she writes wherever she is and she will write on whatever she can find.
Swift's "Red" album has the distinct honor of being the only Triple Platinum album of 2012. The album has sold more than three million copies in the United States alone.
