Lisa Ling Gives Birth to Baby Girl: Former 'The View' Host Welcomes Daughter Jett With Husband Dr. Paul Song

Lisa Ling and husband, Dr. Paul Song, have welcomed their daughter, Jett Ling Song, to their family this Friday. Jett is the couple's first child and was born in Santa Monica, California, at 1:24 p.m. weighing in at 6 pounds and 6 ounces. Ling is the host of "Our America" on OWN and the network released the following announcement: "Lisa and Jett are resting comfortably. The proud parents are enjoying the first day of parenthood and are looking forward to bringing their daughter home."

Ling announced that she was expecting on Anderson Cooper's daytime show. She pulled out a sonogram picture and told Cooper: "I was trying to keep (my pregnancy) quiet for a long time, but I'm starting to get to the point where it looks like I have this really big beer belly. I figured I'd better share it publicly."

The 39-year-old former "The View" panelist released the following statement on her new daughter, Jett: "We feel so blessed that this day has arrived. We're nervously excited to begin this next chapter in our lives with our little Jett."

Lisa's sister, Laura, had recently returned home from imprisonment in North Korea for 140 days. While working on a report in China, Laura and her investigative crew crossed into North Korean territory. They were soon taken into captivity. After coming back in September of last year, Laura Ling said, "I never truly understood what a luxury freedom is until I went out of the country and lost my own." Clearly a harrowing tale, it looks like Laura has something more to appreciate now that she has become an aunt to Jett Ling Song.
