Rihanna "stays" away from Boston on her "Diamond World Tour." Contracting laryngitis forces the starlet to cancel her show on Sunday night. Before losing her voice, the singer was scheduled to perform at TD Garden in Boston tonight. This would have been her second stop on the tour, which kicked off in Buffalo two days ago, notes Rolling Stone.
"Unfortunately, following her sold-out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor's instruction is unable to perform this evening," Live Nation said in a statement, according to Us Weekly.
Feeling guilty about canceling on her Boston fans, Chris Brown's girlfriend tweeted:
"#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down."
Follwed by a second tweet:
"I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!"
Rihanna's next stop on the "Diamonds World Tour" is set for Baltimore on March 12th, and as of now is expected to go on. The Boston concert will be rescheduled for a later date as The Boston Herald reports that fans are being told to hold onto their tickets until the show is rescheduled.
According to Huffington Post, Rihanna is apparently ready to take a break from her music and relax once her tour ends in June.
"She's been in this go mode for a while," Ryan Seacrest said on his morning radio show this week, according to NME. "Seven hit records in seven years. Sold-out tours, but sources say after this tour wraps, she plans to take up to a year off to unwind."
Maybe this time off will allow Ri-Ri to spend some quality time with her "rude boy" Brown, who recently ranted about how men should talk to their women. Thanks for the relationship advice Chris...
