Sooraj Pancholi on Jiah Khan's Forced Abortion and Suicide: "Don't Want to Play Revenge Games"

Sooraj Pancholi has found himself in legal mess once again after the CBI filed a charge sheet against him in Jiah Khan's suicide case which stated that he forcefully extricated her unborn child. The actor says that he does not want to "play revenge games" nor is he seeking sympathy.

The son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, Sooraj made his Bollywood debut by staring in 2015's Hero. He is now entangled in a legal mess and has been booked by CBI under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code for abatement to suicide (though murder has been ruled out from the recently submitted charge sheet).

The 25-year-old Sooraj said in an interview with Times of India as reported by Miss Maline, that he does not want to seek sympathy from any one at this moment as this is a matter of some serious accusations against him.

"I haven't read the charge sheet yet. I don't know who else has read it, so let's not make any assumptions. Even earlier, I had the section 306 (abatement to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) charge against me. We could not fight it out before because Jiah's mother accused me of murder and unless section 302 (punishment for murder) of IPC is ruled out, you cannot fight the abatement charges. We had to wait. Since the CBI has ruled out the possibility of murder, it's back to square one. Now I have a chance to fight it out in court," the actor said.

PinkVilla also mentioned Sooraj saying that at this moment, he just wants to fight the case in the court and wants to make it up for his family.

"I neither want to play any revenge games nor seek sympathy. I just want to fight the case in court and work for myself and my family. I have been quiet for the past three years and I will do so in the future. I know the truth. I respect Nafisa (Jiah) and don't wish to make any statement about someone who is not there anymore. I have no grudges."

Mstars News earlier reported how Sooraj gave some heavy drugs to Khan to abort the baby and when he himself realized that his affair with Khan could destroy his career, he took the entire matter in his own hands, and he extricated the fetus with his bare hands disposing of it in the toilet.
