Bones Season 11 Finale Spoilers: Twitter Reacts TJ Thyne/Michaela Conlin Hodgins/Angela Twist!

Season 11 of Bones aired its winter finale last night on Fox. During Episode 10, Twitter had lots to say about the shocking twist between fan-favorites Jack Hodgins (TJ Thyne) and Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin).

In the penultimate recap, Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) were working undercover at the Frontier Games. Elsewhere, Hodgins and Angela were working out their difference on whether or not they should have children. As Brennan and Booth solved the case, Hodgins admitted to Angela that he's not ready to have more children; breaking her heart.

In our finale recap, Aubrey (John Boyd) risked his life to save Hodgins as they unexpectedly found themselves near a bomb. Though the explosion sent them both to the hospital, Booth raced against the clock with Leslie (Sara Rue) to find the cop-killer. Just when Arrastoo (Pej Vahdat) begged for a second chance from Camille (Tamara Taylor), Hodgins told Angela he wanted to have more kids. Unfortunately, the couple discovered the explosion has left Hodgins paralyzed.

In an interview with TV Guide, Thyne reveals how the concept came about, "I was really stoked. For many seasons, Hodgins and Angela have, for the most part, taken a bit of a backseat, which I don't think is a bad thing. For so many years in the early seasons, they had such struggle and difficulty and stress in their relationship. But for the last many seasons, it's been the happy couple. I feel like we've kind of played that for such a long time that I was stoked finding out that Hodgins and Angela were going to have some conflict and some serious issues to have to contend with."
