Josh Donaldson is many things: Toronto Blue Jays third baseman, AL MVP, and Viking, among others. And what's an AL MVP third baseman, who looks like a Viking, supposed to do on his birthday? Dress up as Thor and go bowling, of course.
On Tuesday, the star third baseman held a costume party at a bowling alley to celebrate his 30th birthday. The crackle when Donaldson's--Thor's--ball (undoubtedly a 'hammer' model) crashes into the pins makes for some pretty decent thunder.

After seeing the video it's safe to assume a few things: Donaldson almost surely bowled a strike, he was probably in a league in a past life (perhaps fifth grade), that could have been the trial run for the next Avengers movie (Hulk and Iron Man both were present), and the pins are most certainly shattered into a million pieces.
And while Donaldson looks to be comfortable on the lanes, it's hard to imagine he's as good as fellow baseball player, Mookie Betts. The 23-year-old Red Sox center fielder was named the Tennessee bowler of the year in 2010, and has four perfect games to his name. Recently, he tried his hand against some of the best in the game when he took part in the World Series of Bowling in Reno, Nevada.
In his first professional game, Betts threw a commendable 224. However, Betts' pace would slow. In his nine games bowled he averaged 196, with a high game of 249, and a low of 140. Good enough for a finish of 212 out of 244.
Betts always thought he'd give professional bowling a shot after his baseball career was over, but was able to get a special exemption after the Professional Bowling Association heard of the young outfielders special talent. Considering he was trying to avoid strikes up at the plate just months ago, the performance was quite impressive.
