"WrestleMania 29" in East Rutherford, NJ is just weeks away. April 7 at MetLife Stadium, WWE's biggest event of the year will be taking place. There are already three main event matches set after WWE's "Raw" on March 11. The Rock against John Cena for the WWE Championship, Alberto Del Rio versus Jack Swagger for the World Heavyweight Championship, and the Undertaker against C.M Punk are all official. Vince McMahon and writers will have to scramble; however, to set the rest of the card for the four hour show.
WrestleMania isn't just a normal three hour pay-per-view that features seven to eight matches at most. WrestleMania will usually have as many as 12 matches on the card, which is why WWE has a lot of work to do leading up to April 7.
A fourth match that is pretty much a guarantee to happen is Triple H against Brock Lesnar. Monday night on "Raw," Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar accepted Triple H's challenge. Fans just need to wait for the contract signing and see what stipulation Lesnar chooses for the bout.
Another match that looks like it will most likely happen is the Shield against Sheamus, Randy Orton, and the Big Show. Over the last couple weeks the six men have been going back and forth with interferences and knock out blows.
Based on their TV interactions and rumors, it also looks like Ryback and Mark Henry will face off at "WrestleMania 29." However, WWE did announce that this Friday night on "Smackdown" the two behemoths will face one-on-one. Likely what will happen is their match won't go the distance Friday night or there will be some kind of stipulation added to a WrestleMania match.
There are a number of possible feuds/matches that have been hinted at on WWE TV. Monday night Chris Jericho, The Miz, and Wade Barret got into it on the "Highlight Reel." Could this lead to a triple threat match at WrestleMania?
Daniel Bryan looks like he may have gotten himself in a feud with Dolph Ziggler, with AJ being an interesting third wheel in the storyline. However, where would this leave Kane? I could see a tag match with "Team Hell No" facing Ziggler and Big E Langston.
A number of superstars are kind of left hanging right now, including US Chamption Antonio Cesaro, Kofi Kingston, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, and Rey Mysterio. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Mysterio recently hurt his good knee and may have to retire.
Another superstar who hasn't seen a lot of TV time is Zach Ryder. The WWE wrestler seemed like a rising star, but has since almost completely fallen off the map. He has also been quite vocal on Twitter about not getting enough TV time. It remains to be seen if his Twitter rants are helping or hurting his cause.
