'Telenovela' Star Eva Longoria Engaged to Jose Antonio Baston: See the Gorgeous Ring!

Telenovela star Eva Longoria is engaged! The former Desperate Housewives lead announced her engagement to businessman Jose Antonio Baston with an Instagram post on Sunday. The shot features Longoria and Baston kissing, and a ruby and diamond ring is clearly visible on the star's left hand.

Longoria captioned the shot, which was taken in Dubai: "Ummmm so this happened...#Engaged #Dubai #Happiness." The couple were in Dubai for the Global Gift Gala at the 2015 Dubai International Film Festival.

The couple have been dating since 2013. At the time they started dating a source told People that Baston, who is the president of the Latin American media brand Televisa, was "sweeping her off her feet and courting her like a proper gentleman."

Devious Maids star and longtime friend Ana Ortiz told People, "They're a gorgeous couple, and I've never seen her happier. I am so thrilled that she has someone who is not intimidated by her and who is not afraid by her power, her beauty, her friendship and her drive."

Longoria herself gushed to People last year, "Let me tell you, I am very lucky in my life." She went on to say that she is attracted to "humor and intellect in a man."

Engagement rumors have run rampant more than once during the couple's relationship. The Daily Mail reported a possible engagement in July, but Longoria denied being engaged at the time.

In January, she was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand, but it turned out to be a Martin Katz ring that Longoria had had "forever."

The 40-year-old starlet has been married twice before. From 2002 to 2004, she was married to Tyler Christopher of General Hospital. She later wed San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker in 2007, but the two called it quits in 2010.
