The hits keep on coming for troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. However, there may be a knight in shining armor ready to save her. TMZ is reporting that California attorney David Wohl wants to join Lohan's legal team in court on March 18 to help the actress from the incompetence of her own lawyers. Lohan's New York attorney Mark Heller was recently called out by the judge in Lohan's case for being incompetent. Lohan faces jail time after allegedly lying to police about whether or not she was driving during an accident on the Pacific Coast Highway in California last year. Can this lawyer save the "Liz and Dick" star from jail time?

According to the TMZ report, Lindsay's dad found Wohl so the veteran defense lawyer can help Lohan and her defense lawyer. Wohl has reportedly been practicing criminal defense law for 25 years in California and has experience handling cases ranging from shoplifting to murder.

Judge Jim Dabney told Lohan that she needs to either find a lawyer who knows California law or she will have to waive her rights to argue that she was misrepresented later on. Wohl has reportedly been in contact with Heller on a daily basis and Lohan's defense lawyer is all for bringing aboard Wohl. Michael Lohan has told Wohl to show up in court even though his daughter hasn't given her official approval of him yet.

If Lohan is found guilty she faces rehab and possible jail time. The actress could face jail time after refusing to accept a plea deal that would have allowed her to only serve 90 days of house arrest. The stubborn actress apparently refuses to take a plea bargain, which from the outside looking in, doesn't seem like the smartest move. Instead of just having to stick it out in her house for a few months she could end up in jail. Likely Lohan would only serve a couple weeks in jail, but that still would be much worse than being locked up in the comfort of her own home. Not sure if I get Lohan's thought process on this one.

Do you think Lohan should take the plea deal and serve 90 days house arrest or risk jail time to fight the charges against her?
