Rajinikanth science fiction movie Robot 2 has been making news from the last six months for its casting. Now, there are reports that after wrapping the shoot for period drama Mohenjo Daro, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan will think of signing the project.
Mstars News earlier reported that Hollywood star, Arnold Schawrzenegger was in terms to sign Robot 2 and has officially demanded a whopping $15 million for 30 days of shoot. However, at that time neither the film's director S. Shankar nor the production house made any confirmation regarding this. Now from the recent updates it is officially confirmed that Schwarzenegger is actually out of the film and Bollywood hunk, Roshan is in talking terms to star in it.
According to a report from DNA India, Hollywood actor's demands were too high for the production house. That's why they thought not to go ahead with The Terminator actor. Now, it looks like the Robot 2 team has approached two Bollywood stars to play the role of an antagonist. Neil Nitin Mukesh, who made the headlines in November when a rumour around him and Game Of Thrones started to surface online. Roshan, who is also believed to star in Aashiqui 3 with Deepika Padukone, or Sonam Kapoor have been approached by the production team of Robot 2.
Both Mukesh and Roshan has not signed the film yet, but the DNA India sources confirmed that they already met Shankar for their role in Robot 2.
According to IndRead.com, another Bollywood hottie, Amy Jackson has officially confirmed her role in Rajinikanth starrer. Jackson, who earlier worked with Shankar in I is going to be seen as a Robot in Robot 2. Although, there have been talks that Shankar is still looking for another heroine.
Robot 2 is slated to release next year and with the success of Robot, which made $56 million at box-office, the stakes are high for the sequel as well.
