'LHHNY' Erica Mena & Bow Wow Split: Are Rumors of "Abuse" True or Not?

Hollywood relationships usually last longer on screen. This seems to be the case for former Love & Hip Hip New York star Erica Mena and rapper Shad "Bow Wow" Moss. Apparently, the couple split over a month ago and Mena alleges that her ex was abusive in an interview with Global Grind. "I'm not going to sit there and let my child see me be mistreated by a man," she revealed. Perhaps the Mena has put the past behind, since she's famous for fighting on the reality show.

What was the straw that broke the camel's back? Apparently, Instagram is the cause of the public notice. The reality star uploaded a post of a photo of her with a unknown male in the background and Bow Wow may have decided to retaliate, since he posted pictures of his baby mama Joie Chavis at the house that he and Erica shared together.

Insiders say that the Bad Boy recoding artist is just trying to get back at his ex, but she claims to have wanted to handle it in a mature manner. She says, "I could have gone public about our breakup a month ago," she said. "He does this to make headlines. Just leave me alone, I moved on; why are you still in your feelings? He's literally posting about Joie to get on my nerves and it's not working. He's posting it to fuck with her head and to try to get a reaction out of me. Listen, I walked away silently. He's an abuser." She added, "I never wanted [his] business out there. I feel like people have seen me on reality TV having to fight, but at this point in my life, I deserve peace. I'm in a different place now. When it comes to Shad, this is the man I at one point really considered marrying. He is the one I decided to say yes to, but once the mask came off, I realized I had made a bad choice."

Vibe magazine shed some light on Bow Wow's alleged feelings since their take is simple. "Judging by the mouth full Moss had to say about Mena's attention-seeking and revealing their miscarriage to the world, he'll most definitely have more to say," says the hip hop publication.
