'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Twitter Reviews From Stars and Critics Are In!

The much-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens had its premiere in Hollywood Monday night. Official reviews are embargoed until midnight on Wednesday, but that hasn't stopped people from taking their thoughts to Twitter. The results seem to be overwhelmingly positive, with stars and critics alike giving the film a thumb's up.

Some of Hollywood's biggest names shared their glee over the film:

Some key critics got in on the action, too. Matthew Panzarino of TechCrunch had much to say about the film:

He did admit the film isn't perfect, though:

A familiar rhythm, with new players. Maybe too familiar, as some notes feel obligatory, perfunctory. But overall, magic.

And Steven Weintraub of Collider.com thought the film was one of the best in the franchise, putting it on par with the original trilogy:

Not going to say much till I see it again but rest assured THE FORCE AWAKENS is the best STAR WARS since 1983...maybe 1980.

Lucky fan Erick Sinatra teased the many "surprises" of the film, saying:

Naturally, some didn't quite love the film as much as others:

Full reviews for the film will be released starting at 12:01 a.m. PST on Wednesday, Dec. 16. The film is screening for press Tuesday, and security is said to be extra tight. According to The Wrap, Disney is completely "discouraging people from bringing large bags and purses" and all phones and cameras will be taken before people are allowed in.
