NBC captivated audiences with the winter finale of Blindspot. When the show returns from hiatus in February, will Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander)'s tattoos point Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) to Aaron Abrams?
As we previously mentioned, Patterson's (Ashley Johnson) seemingly unemployed but forever loyal ex-boyfriend David (Joe Dinicol) was killed off. David went rogue to crack a code and win back Patterton, but ended up with his throat slit. It seemed like the end for incarcerated crime boss Saul Guerrero (Lou Diamond Philips)., The corrupt CIA deputy director Carter (Michael Gaston) orchestrated Saul's hit behind bars. But nothing could have prepared audiences when the winter file dropped a major cliffhanger.
During the winter finale, after water-boarding Jane, Carter met his own demise as he was shot down by an assassin. Recognizing the face of Carter's assassin, Jane watched a recording she made herself, explaining she has orchestrated everything. What will change between Jane and Kurt, especially since they shared a kiss before she disappeared?
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Hannibal actor has landed a recurring role on the NBC action drama. Abrams will mostly seen as a possible love interest opposite actress Audrey Esparza. In his character arc, Abrams plays "a driven Assistant U.S. Attorney," who eventually develops a relationship with Agent Zapata (Esparza).
Will Zapata find love, especially since she contemplated about leaving the team? But now that Carter is gone, does this mean she deserves a second chance? Or will the CSI: Cyber actor find his character with this throat slit, like David's?
We also mentioned, Blindspot has been granted a second season after its freshmen drama was successful with the ratings. After three months since its most-watched premiere, the current episode count for the NBC drama has been upped to 23.
Blindspot will return February 29 at 10pm on NBC.
