It looks like marketing departments may be on to something. Pranking people is the way to market products, movies, etc.. The latest example is Pepsi and NASCAR's Jeff Gordon putting out a video on YouTube of the race car driver pranking an unsuspecting car salesman. The Pepsi MAX campaign and Gordon went to a car dealership, disguised Gordon, and made a care salesman believe Gordon was just looking to buy a car. What ended up happening was a very funny video of Gordon test driving a Camaro with the car salesman.

The YouTube video,"Pepsi MAX & Jeff Gordon Present: 'Test Drive,'" already has over 1.4 million views since March 12. The description for the video reads:

"Jeff Gordon and Pepsi MAX go to a car dealership where a disguised Jeff Gordon takes an unsuspecting car salesman on the test drive of his life. #GordonTestDrive"

The reaction of the car salesman is priceless. Gordon goes on a thrill ride on a closed course resulting in the car salesman nearly losing his mind. Although on a closed course, Gordon nearly hit one car, then drove up on a ramp. The second Gordon parked the car, the salesman was ready to run inside and call the cops.

You can see what other people thought of the prank on Twitter by following the hashtag #GordonTestDrive. One person tweeted, "Is it bad that I've watched this probably 5 times today? https://PepsiMAX.com/TestDrive #GordonTestDrive"

There are a number of people who commented on the YouTube page that the video is likely planned and it was fake. After watching the video, I think there is a good chance the car salesman could have just been an actor. Gordon is a professional driver, but it seems risky to put an unsuspecting person through that. Do you think the car salesman was truly pranked?

Either way, it's a very funny video and worth checking out below.
