Rachel Berry will be reunited with her mom once again!
Lea Michele tweeted the "Glee" spoiler yesterday revealing that her on-screen mom, Idina Menzel, will be returning to Fox's hit show for a Season 4 appearance, as The Hollywood Reporter confirms the report.
"I spy @idinamenzel at #Glee today! So excited to have my mama back!" star Lea Michele wrote on Twitter late Tuesday.
Menzel's episode is tentatively scheduled to air in mid-April, states THR.
Menzel has appeared in more than 10 episodes over the past three seasons of Glee, playing Rachel's (Michele) biological mother, Shelby, and the adopted mother to Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Puck's (Mark Salling) daughter, Beth. She was last seen exiting McKinley High after having a fling with Puck, with Quinn vowing to keep her secret. Her return marks her first appearance in season four and first since the eighth episode in season three, reports THR.
Maybe Shelby comes back to advise her daughter Rachel during her recent pregnancy crisis?
The talented Broadway star joins Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Hudson and Whoopi Goldberg among season four's notable guest stars.
In other Idina Menzel news, the Rent actress is reportedly set to return to Broadway for the first time since leaving the cast of Wicked back in 2005, reports Just Jared. The 41-year-old actress, who won a Tony Award for her role as Elphaba in the beloved musical, will return to the Great White Way in the new musical If/Then.
Idina will reunite with director Michael Grief, who she worked with on her Broadway debut in Rent back in the 90s in this romantic and original new musical about "how choice and chance collide and how we learn to love the fallout," states Just Jared.
If/Then will have a pre-Broadway tryout in Washington, D.C. this November before heading to Broadway in Spring 2014.
Be sure to catch up on Glee with last week's recap before watching tomorrow night's new episode on Fox!
