Although we do not know whether Kate Middleton and Prince Williams will be having a daughter or a son (or rather a Princess or a Prince) nor what names they are thinking of come this July, rumors are spreading about the royal couple's new residence. Royal officials have reportedly been given the go-ahead to make improvements to Sandrigham Estate mansion Anmer Hall, which had been rumored to be the future home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Now it looks like the rumors are true, though there has yet to be any official announcement.

According to ABC News royal contributor Victoria Arbiter, "Privacy, obviously, is huge," when considering the future home and right now this is "all speculation." Though, she does admit that if the rumors were true it would make a lot of sense. Arbiter says:

"William and Kate are, next to the queen, probably the most popular members of the royal family. And as they become more full-time royals, the fascination is going to grow. In this day and age, those [paparazzi] photographs can sell for a lot of money-and when they have a baby, those photos are going to really be worth a fortune. They're very much country people and they're going to want to let their children run around and play out in the garden."

Anmer hall is currently being rented to a tenant, James Everett, until 2017. It is unclear if the work on the estate will begin after Everett moves out or while he is still there. It is reportedly one of the "150 properties owned by the Queen on her north Norfolk estate." It has five bedrooms and sits on 20,000 acres with its own swimming pool and its own tennis court. Anmer Hall dates back to 1802. Prince William spent numerous childhood holidays at the property. Anmer Hall was also the site where Prince Charles would meet with his then-mistress Camilla Parker Bowles for "clandestine trysts."
