We've got your latest WWE news and rumors leading up to "WrestleMania 29" in East Rutherford, NJ. There are just a few more weeks until April 7 and there are some interesting rumors involving John Cena's no-show at "Monday Night Raw" and Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock's backstage presence. Also, "Friday Night Smackdown" was taped Tuesday night and there was a big match made official for this year's WrestleMania at MetLife Stadium.
So why weren't the two members of "WrestleMania 29's" main event present at "Raw?" According to PWInsider, WWE officials didn't want John Cena to be at "Raw" when The Rock wasn't. Maybe because it would highlight the fact that the current WWE Champion isn't a full-time member of the show? The Rock was reportedly in South Korea at the "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" movie premiere. Officials apparently thought it would make The Rock look weak if Cena was at the show and the champion wasn't.
PWInsider is also reporting some backstage resentment towards The Rock. Reportedly some of the wrestlers aren't too happy that he will be missing two of the last four big shows heading into "WrestleMania 29." This talk has been going on since Rock returned and won the title. It definitely rubs some people the wrong way that Johnson is working a lighter schedule while also getting to main event WrestleMania. Do you think The Rock has earned the right to come back and work a lighter schedule while main eventing wrestling's biggest show?
According to F4Wonline.com, the return of the Bella Twins on Monday's "Raw" was weeks in the making. WWE wants to have more women on TV and they are trying to bring back a number of former Diva's. Which Diva's would you like to see back on WWE television?
Finally, I am warning you now, this next news involves spoilers from the "Friday Night Smackdown" taping Tuesday night.
At the "Smackdown" taping Booker T made The Shield versus Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Ryback an official "WrestleMania 29" match. Yup, that's right, Ryback and not the Big Show. According to reports, the Big Show asked to join Sheamus and Orton, but they had already chosen Ryback. My guess is that this is just part of the storyline and somehow Big Show will join the team with Ryback facing Mark Henry at "WrestleMania 29."
