According to several recent gossip reports, Gomez was spotted walking with a tall, dark, handsome "mystery" man on Saturday (March 9) just before jetting off from LA to Austin, TX for the city's annual South by Southwest festival. Apparently the duo hopped in a limo together on the way to the airport... as gossip guru Perez Hilton claims, "Could this dude's look be FURTHER than the one normally rawked by the Biebs?! Glad to see that you've expanded the range of your romantic pallette, gurl!"

Right... Gossip Cop reached out to a source close to Gomez to clear up the dating rumors. Turns out this sexy stranger is just the boyfriend of one of the starlet's close gal pals. So no, Gomez isn't currently in a relationship with a "mystery" man. This guy was just being a good friend by escorting the young songstress to the airport.

Meanwhile, Mstars is sad to report that Justin Bieber's pet hamster Pac now resides in "little hamster heaven." The Biebs left Pac in the care of diehard Belieber fan Victoria McClure back in December - she promised to take extra good care of him. But on Tuesday evening (March 12), McClure tweeted the unfortunate news that Pac had passed away due to "old age." McClure later wrote to the Biebs and his good friend Alfredo Flores, "Thank u guys for what u done for me. Having him was truly a blessing & a small beacon of hope! I love u guys!" She also promised to give Pac a proper hamster burial. Following the Twitter announcement, Beliebers began trending the hashtag #RIPPac:
