Harry Potter fans have long been awaiting for J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them trailer - probably since the film adaptation was announced. The new film stars Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne and Inherent Vice actress Katherine Waterston as Newt Scamander and Tina Goldstein, respectively.

Redmayne stars alongside Colin Farrell, Ron Perlman, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra MillerSamantha Morton, Gemma Chan, and Jon Voight. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is directed by David Yates.

Now that the Fantastic Beasts trailer has arrived, here's a list of things you should know about the movie (if you didn't already know them):

1. Meet Newt Scamander and Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein:

Okay, we already knew that Eddie would take the lead role in the film, as well as Waterston portraying Porpentina. But we're finally seeing evidence of Redmayne and Waterston as they bring life to Newt Scamander and Tina Goldstein!

2. There's a Wizarding World in America!

A scene from the trailer features Tina Goldstein walking into a great hall filled with wizards and witches. If you look closely, you may be able to spot an emblem behind a certain witch, which reads: "Magical Congress of the United States of America."

3. He goes around New York City wavering his wand (!!!)

According to Buzzfeed, the scenes weren't filmed in America. As it turns out, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them was shot at the Warner Bros. studios in Leavesden, England - the same place where several of the Harry Potter films were also done. Some shots were also taken in Liverpool, England.

4. There's also a new poster!

Along with the Fantastic Beasts trailer release was also the debut of a new goosebump-inducing poster for the upcoming film, which is set for a November 2016 release.

5. It's J.K. Rowling's screenwriting debut:

Apparently, Rowling never wrote the screenplay for any of the Harry Potter films - it was written by Steve Kloves. But as Vox reports, Fantastic Beasts was the first screenplay ever written by Rowling.
