Stephen Amell is most famous for his role as Oliver Queen on the CW's Arrow, which is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow. But in a new Q&A session on his Facebook page, the actor said he would be open to appearing in a Marvel movie.
Amell hosted one of his regular question and answer sessions earlier this week and fielded one question about whether he would consider working for the other major comic book company in any capacity.
"Sure, why not?" Amell replied. "I'm up for roles, movie roles, although I've never really read Marvel Comics and I was always a DC guy even before I was a DC guy. But it's not like if I got offered an awesome Marvel superhero, I'd be like 'No, I can't.'"
Many fans like to think that Marvel and DC have some sort of blood rivalry despite the fact that they have actually worked together in the past and, generally speaking, there is little ill will on either side. So it makes sense that Amell would be open to a Marvel movie at some point in his career.
The actor also fielded a question about the future of Arrow, specifically how long the show will run. Amell reiterated that the show always had a five-year plan, but that doesn't mean the show will end with the Season 5 finale.
"We were always built to be a five year show, which is a very courageous thing to plan for when you're just in the pilot stages of something," he said. "But that doesn't mean that we can't go six or seven [seasons]. I can't really picture beyond that. But we'll see. I'm having a blast."
