Earlier this month, actress Olivia Wilde took to Twitter to tell pop star Justin Bieber to put his shirt on, which ended up in a tweeting tirade from Beliebers from around the globe. So last night while on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," Wilde explained the whole ordeal, saying that her tweet might have seemed like an attack but it was really out of love and concern. The tweet in question read: "Bieber, put your [explicit] shirt on. (unless you lost all your shirts in a fire in which case my condolences and please purchase a new shirt.)"

Wilde told Leno and the audience that Justin had his shirt off in London, which is cold. She knows this because her 19-year-old brother lives there. Olivia was simply trying to help the "Baby" singer. The former "House" star explains, "It's so cold there and I was concerned. You know, I have a 19-year-old brother in London and it's freezing and if I saw him without a shirt, I would tell him to put it on. So I told Justin Bieber, 'put your f----ing shirt on' ... with love."

She then talked about how many responses she got from Bieber fans and even read some out loud for laughs. Here is the clip of the interview:

Olivia Wilde can be seen in the upcoming film, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, alongside Steve Carell, Jim Carrey and Steve Buscemi. It hits theaters this Friday.

Mstarz recently reported on the Wilde vs Bieber Twitter incident. Here is an excerpt to better explain the situation:

Unfortunately for Wilde, she tweeted at the wrong celebrity. Bieber's fans have since come out in defense of Bieber and the name calling has gotten quite nasty. You can find the responses to Wilde's tweet here.

An incensed Bieber fan stuck up for the "Beauty And A Beat" singer by tweeting, "who are you again? huh? exactly."
