Miss Universe 2015: Indian Model Urvashi Rautela is Among Top 10 Hot Contestants

Every year, India's contestants have made a buzz whenever they have participated in the Miss Universe Competition and this year is no different. Indian model and actress, Urvashi Rautela, who has already been crowned Miss Diva-2015, has been named among the top 10 contestants to look out for at the grand finale of Miss Universe 2015.

According to Indian Express, Rautela has won the title of Miss Asian Supermodel 2011 in South Korea and later the same year, she was crowned as Miss Tourism Queen of the year. Along with that, she shared the screen with Indian rapper, Yo Yo Honey Singh, in his international video, "Lovedose." Deccan Herald reported that the 21-year-old model won the title of I Am She - Miss Universe India in 2012 but had to give up her crown to Shilpa Singh due to a controversy over her age, but she was crowned Miss Diva 2015.

Now, Rautela, who created history by winning the title of Miss Universe India title two times in a row, will be competing with 80 other contestants at the global platform of Miss Universe 2015.

Missosology, the leading beauty pageant website, has recently revealed the top 10 hot picks -- those who have impressed all the judges and audiences from around the globe. The top 10 contestants are Huong Pham (Vietnam), Flora Coquerel (France), Ariadna Gutiérrez (Colombia), Rautela (India), Olivia Jordan (USA), Clarissa Molina (Dominican Rep), Marthina Brandt (Brazil), Aniporn Chalermburanawong (Thailand), Ariana Miyamoto (Japan) and Monika Radulovic (Australia).

So far in the Miss Universe beauty pageant, India has won only for two times. In 1994, Bollywood diva Sushmita Sen was crowned and after 6 years, the title went to Bollywood actress, Lara Dutta.

The 64th Miss Universe beauty pageant is being held in Las Vegas, USA and the winner will be announced on Dec. 20. The new Miss Universe will take home the crown and a cash prize of $50,000.
