Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr was spotted in a neck brace after getting in a car accident in Los Angeles Monday. The 29-year-old beauty was photographed wearing the brace despite trying to cover it up with a scarf. According to TMZ, a driver reportedly smashed into her car on the L.A. freeway. Luckily the super model wasn't seriously injured and her actor husband Orlando Bloom and their 2-year-old son Flynn were not in the car.
Kerr's representative told Australia's 9 News, "She is in a lot of pain, but really we are just glad it was not more serious." The Victoria's Secret angel reportedly suffered back injuries, whiplash and had to get an MRI taken after the accident according to The Daily Mail. Kerr's representative went on to say, "[Orlando is] taking very good care of her. He's an amazing husband."
Unfortunately Kerr has a tragic history with car crashes. The super model's ex boyfriend died in a car accident when Kerr was 15. The model named her son Flynn after her late ex boyfriend.
Kerr was named the ambassador for Qantas. She is supposed to return to Australia next month to unveil Qantas airlrines' new uniforms designed by Martin Grant.
Kerr began dating British actor Orlando Bloom back in 2007. The couple got married in 2010 and had their first child together (Flynn) in 2011. Last June, Kerr signed a contract to represent Samantha Thavasa promoting the brand's "Malissa" bag. Kerr was also named the new face of Mango back in November. She will be replacing Kate Moss in the brand's spring/summer 2013 campaign.
Luckily it seems like the super model will be fine. She may have to deal with the pain for a little bit, but according to her representatives her husband is taking good care of her. Let's hope Kerr can make a quick recovery.
