Kim Kardashian Breaks Apple App Store with New KIMOJI App & Apologizes to Angry Fans for Crash

The world famous, Kim Kardashian, has launched her latest project, a personalized app called KIMOJI. The app launched December 21 and her adoring fans couldn't wait to get their hands on it. Turns out, the high volume of simultaneous downloads traffic caused the entire Apple App Store to crash. In response, Kim logged on Twitter to apologize to her angry fans as well as to Apple for "breaking" the app store.

Kim K can now add breaking the app store to her running list of accomplishments including breaking the Internet. The television personality (E! KUWTK) and entrepreneur dropped her latest project, KIMOJI, that allows fans to access hundreds of personalized Kim Kardashian emojis.

On the day of the app release, KIMOJI flew right to the number one spot and broke shortly after its launch due to the volume of folks trying to download it at once. According to NY Post, there were over 9,000 KIMOJI downloads per second of the $1.99 app. Thus, earning Kim $1 million dollars per minute. Shortly after the app launch the celebration stopped as the heavy download traffic caused the app store to malfunction.

Kim quickly addressed the issue on Twitter apologizing to fans and to the Apple Store..

The system crash was resolved in a matter of hours, and all was well again for eager downloaders. Among the fans anxious to try the app was Kim's husband, Kanye West. Kanye picked his favorite emoji and posted on Twitter, praising his wife's accomplishment. He said, "I'm so proud of my wife! This KIMOJI idea is so dope..."
