Ne-Yo, the 30-year-old singer and music producer, has revealed that he's recently recorded a duet with vocal powerhouse Celine Dion. The R&B artist wrote & sang with the Canadian superstar on a track that will be released with her forthcoming album.

This will be Ne-Yo & Celine's second collaboration as the unlikely duo first worked together on Dion's 2007 album Taking Chances, with Ne-Yo co-writing and co-producing "I Got Nothin' Left." However, this time we will actually hear Ne-Yo sing on Dion's track, reports Billboard.

"This time around I actually did a duet with her - it's her and me on one song, which was a challenge to say the least! I was trying to figure what I was even doing there - why would they need my voice when they have hers?"

Ne Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, said, "She wanted to do the song as a duet and I was flattered, but it definitely made me question my vocal ability."

The "Let Me Love You" singer described his experience working with "The Power of Love" songstress as "surreal", reported Digital Spy. The Grammy winner, who has had much success with his latest album, R.E.D, has also written songs for Beyonce, Whitney Houston and Enrique Iglesias.

Dion's upcoming album, tentatively titled 'Water and Flame,' follows 2007's 'Taking Chances' and marks her tenth English album, notes Business Standard. Her 25th overall studio album is expected to be released in October.

Who knows what to expect from this seemingly bizarre collaboration. Maybe the Ne-Dion duet will be a "Glee style" mash-up of Ne-Yo's "Miss Independent" and Dion's "All by Myself" or "It's all Coming Back to me Now and "Closer?" We'll just have to wait until October to hear what the two talented artists have been working on together.
