Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have had their fair share of boyfriend drama... but according to fellow songstress Demi Lovato, that's not what she wants her music career to blossom from. In a recent radio interview with Minnesota's KDWB, the popular "X-Factor" judge (inadvertently) disses both Swift and Gomez, stating that "a lot of celebs don't open up to their fans... They maybe flaunt around a boyfriend and sell a couple albums. That's not what my career is about." Lovato doesn't directly bash either starlet, but she still has a pretty good point, right?

In a KDWB radio segment blatantly titled "DemiLovato_TakesaShotat_SelenaGomez," the 20-year-old "Heart Attack" singer claims:

"A lot of celebrities don't open up to their fans. They just tell them what they want to hear. They don't really tell them things that can benefit their lives. They just, you know, maybe flaunt around a boyfriend and sell a couple albums. That's not what my career is about."

Listen to the short clip here:

Although rumors initially had it that Lovato was "romancing" One Direction crooner Niall Horan, the duo never officially dated. The "Give Your Heart a Break" songstress repeatedly claims that she doesn't have time for boys right now... here career's more important.

Meanwhile, "Spring Breakers" starlet Gomez's rocky relationship with former flame Justin Bieber still remains a hot topic in the gossip tabloids. As for Swift - well, she's had her fair share of Hollywood flings (Harry Styles, Jack Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, etc.)...

So what do Mstars readers think - was Lovato's statement aimed as a direct diss at starlets such as Swift and Gomez who let relationships get in the way of their budding careers? Or was she just stating a simple opinion? More importantly, do fans agree with her?
