Lil Wayne has reportedly been hospitalized. TMZ is reporting that rapper was hospitalized this week in Los Angeles due to seizures. Sources told the gossip site Wayne was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A. Tuesday night after shooting a music video. According to the TMZ report, Wayne was released just hours later Wednesday morning and he is doing much better now. Could the music video Wayne was shooting be the "High School" video with Nicki Minaj? Nicki posted revealing photos of herself in a swimsuit earlier this week that were during the shooting of the music video.
TMZ also broke the story of Lil Wayne suffering seizures while flying last October and the rapper admitted that he was prescribed seizure medication by his doctor. This is scary news, but it's good to hear that it sounds like the rapper is okay and will make a full recovery.
Although there is no word as to which music video Wayne was shooting, he was reportedly filming the "High School" music video along with Minaj earlier this week. Wayne's current single, "Love Me" is doing well on Billboard's rap charts and the rapper will be releasing his tenth solo LP, I Am Not a Human Being II, in a couple weeks.
News also broke recently that Lil Wayne and Birdman's 14-year-old daughters are teaming up on a new novel. Reginae Carter and Bria Williams helped write the book, Paparazzi Princesses, due out June 4. The story follows two young girls dealing with unintentional fame as they grow up to kids of famous parents. Hmm, that sounds kind of familiar. Maybe the girls are drawing on personal experience?
The book was co-authored by Karyn Langhorne Folan and it has made two very proud fathers. Lil Wayne said in a statement reported by AllHipHop.com, " "Proud doesn't even begin to describe how me and the Birdman feel. I can't wait for everybody else to experience their story."
Congratulations to the daughters of Lil Wayne and Birdman.
