Steve Carell is making the rounds this week to promote his new film The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and he stopped by ESPN's "Sportscenter" long enough to reintroduce fans to his character Brick Tamland of Anchorman fame. This is a nice treat for fans considering the sequel to the popular comedy is due out soon and "Brick Tamland" was the role that made Carell a household name. In Anchorman, Brick was a slow newscaster who said very random things that have become iconic catch phrases to this day. Carell was challenged to deliver some off of the top of his head during the show's "top plays" segment and it certainly garners a ton of laughs from all involved.
The hype around Anchorman 2 has been building ever since it was announce last year. This short tease of one of the film's best characters is surely a treat for fans and perhaps even Carell himself. The catch phrases aren't exactly the best, but his delivery makes them worthwhile. Plus he starts cracking up towards the end of the clip, which is funny in its own way.
Again, Carell was on a promotional tour for his new film, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. This comedy tackles the lives of magicians in the entertainment world with Steve in the lead role, and costarring Jim Carrey, Steve Bucemi, Olivia Wilde and Alan Arkin. You can view the trailer for this movie, which comes out tomorrow, HERE.
