"American Idol'" season 12 top 10 results show took place Thursday night. Unfortunately for one contestant, this was the end of the road after last night's viewer voting results. Last night's 2013 show also featured performances from season 11 winner Phillip Phillips who performed the shows official new exit song for contestants "Gone, Gone, Gone." New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi sang their new single "Because We Can" off their new album What About Now. Judge Nicki Minaj also was able to show up on time after her late showing Wednesday night.
For the first time ever on the show, fans will get to see who the top three vote getter's are. This way we can get an idea of who has been leading America's voting results. So who are the top three vote getter's? Candice Glover, Kree Harrison and Angie Miller. No big surprises in the top three, although you can make the argument Amber Holcomb could easily be in the top three. We now have an idea of who the favorites are in the competition.
Charlie Askew and Aubrey Cleland both performed live for a wild-card spot in the competition. Askew performed his original song "Sky Blue Diamond" while Cleland sang "Out Here On My Own."
Ryan Seacrest lets everyone know who else is safe in the competition this week. Lazaro Arbos, Amber Holcomb, Janelle Arthur, Burnell Taylor, and Paul Jolly all will make it to the top nine. The last two are Devin Velez and Curtis Finch Jr.. After a dramatic reveal, Devin Velez is safe. Meaning Finch Jr. is going home.
Randy Jackson announced the judges would not use their one and only save of the season to keep Curtis in the competition. Curtis is a great singer, but it seems like he was only focusing on gospel instead of going outside his comfort zone.
So there you have it. The top three vote getter's are Candice Glover, Angie Miller and Kree Harrison. Curtis Finch Jr. has been eliminated and fans got to see live performances from Phillip Phillips and Bon Jovi.
