'Teen Wolf' Season 5B Spoilers: Tyler Posey's Scott McCall Teaser NYE Premiere!

MTV is set to air season 5B of Teen Wolf  in 2016. Before the next episode of Season 5 of Teen Wolf starring Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) a brand new teaser will makes its premiere during the special New Year's Eve countdown and marathons.

As we previously mentioned, Scott McCall (Posey) was just an average high school student when his life was suddenly altered after being bitten by a werewolf. In the upcoming fifth season, Scott and his pack will face a dangerous new threat known only as "The Doctors." Growing up, the teens are close to becoming adults as they head off into their senior year.

According to Variety,  during MTV's hourlong New Year's Eve special, live from Times Square, hosted by Victoria Justice and Charlamagne, a Teen Wolf teaser will make its way for audiences. Not only will MTV will carry a marathon of Ridiculousness leading up to midnight, right when 2016 starts, a six-minute cold open from Teen Wolf's" season 5B will premiere.

The Teen Wolf teaser will be followed by episodes of Ridiculousness through 7am.

We also mentioned the last season ended on a dark cliffhanger, which left fans wanting more from the second half of Season 5. Creator/showrunner Jeff Davis,dished on the cliffhanger during New York Comic Con.

Davis states, "The end of Episode 20 will be a very big high note. It will be Scott and his pack back together. We wanted to end on a down note [with 5a]. This was our kind of like Empire Strikes Back ending. We were very clear about wanting to have a real midpoint low in the middle of this season."

Teen Wolf's Season 5B premieres January 5 at 9 pm on MTV.
