Two more Cranival cruise ships, the Legend and the Dream, have been experiencing technical and mechanical problems today, leaving both of them to have their journeys cut short. This news of course comes just one month after the Carnival Triumph incident, which involved the cruise liner left adrift for nearly a week after its electrical systems gave out. Passengers involved in today's cruise malfunctions can't help but worry about a similar situation happening to them.
The Carnival Legend is currently off the coast of Honduras and is unable to sail at a favorable speed because of a technical problem. This has forced the ship to cut short the passengers' vacation. A visit to the Cayman Islands has been cancelled as the ship turns around to make it back to port in Tampa Bay, Florida. This visit would have been the last of the 7-day cruise.
Nearly 1,500 miles away is the Carnival Dream, which was adrift in a dock at St Maartin due to mechanical issues. The passengers onboard have been flown home, cutting the trip short as well. Vance Gulliksen said in a statement:
"Since it is unclear when the Carnival Dream will be departing St. Maarten, it only makes sense that we fly guests home and we are in the process of arranging both charter and commercial flights for guests to be flown to Orlando or their final destinations."
Kris Anderson, a passenger on the Carnival Dream with his family, shared some news while the ship was still adrift:

What are the odds it's going to happen again, right? And then look at us now. People obviously are upset, disappointed but it seems like, in general, most folks are going with the flow."
