"American Idol" season 12 is heating up after another contestant was sent home on Thursday night's live voting results episode. The unlucky singer who was sent home was Curtis Finch Jr.. So, what is next for the young singer? The 25-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri talked with USA Today and reporters while answering a few questions surrounding his future. Could we be seeing the singer on Broadway or "Glee" in the near future?
When asked by USA Today what his plans are for the future, Finch Jr. told them, "Gear up for the tour that's coming up with the other Idols. I'm really just trying to focus on that and maybe try to make connections to people like R. Kelly or Alicia Keys or maybe Kim Burrell, just see how I can thrive in my career and be effective in my future."
Finche Jr. wouldn't comment on his 2010 arrest that led to a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property. However he alluded to USA Today that he let the producers of "American Idol" know his arrest history.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Finch Jr. also hopes his future could lead him to Broadway or even FOX's hit show "Glee." Maybe it is just me, but if the singer has the acting chops, he would be a great addition to "Glee."
In a conference call with reporters on Friday, Finch Jr. didn't lack confidence after his top 10 show exit. "I always felt I had to sing looking towards the end," he said. "Even at my Chicago audition, I was thinking about the finale. That's how hard you have to work in order to be successful. I can't go through the motions, really, if I want to do my best. My mindset was definitely thinking about the confetti coming down and the crown being on my head."
