Lil Wayne is alive and well. He is not dead as several online reports including TMZ have suggested. He is still in the hospital and is in "good" condition according to the rapper's tweet on Friday night. The dangerous concoction called Sizzurp could have easily led him to death, therefore he is very lucky to have survived.
After the death scare that followed his seizures and reported coma on Friday night, Lil Wayne's friends have tried to help calm the situation via social network.
"Wayne is alive and well," said Mack Maine on Saturday. "We will be releasing an official statement shortly, but don't believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false."
Do did Lil Wayne ever fall into a coma? According to Maine's report, media has blown up the story too much.
A publicist did confirm that the 30-year-old rapper did suffer a seizure NJ.com reported.
Lil Wayne has a long history of drug use and his recent seizure was caused by an overdose of a poisonous mixture of prescription based cough syrup and alcohol.
An expert named Dr. Phil Dembo told Hollywoodlife.com exclusively that the dangerous concoction that Lil Wayne, "should have killed him."
“It’s like drinking poison," the doctor said. Sizzurp is also known to be very addictive. It is a popular drug within the hip hop community and it is a dangerous one.
Lil Wayne spoke openly about his difficulty in overcoming his addictions in a past interview with MTV back in 2008.
”Everyone wants me to stop all this and all that. It ain’t that easy — feels like death in your stomach when you stop doing that s**t. You gotta learn how to stop, you gotta go through detox. You gotta do all kinds of stuff. Like I said, I’m selfish. I feel like everything I do is successful and productive. It’s gonna be hard to tell me I’m slipping.”
Lil Wayne is a father to four children and is currently not married.
