CBS's 2013 "Survivor" has already been an explosive season. "Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites" has just begun and one contestant is already causing a lot of controversy over his TV breakdown. Returning player and nephew of fellow "Survivor" contestant Russell Hantz, Brandon Hantz, was voted off last week after he nearly came to blows with fellow player and teammate Phillip Sheppard. Hantz went on a rampage that had  contestants and show host Jeff Probst worried at one point. So how does Brandon feel about his showing?

In maybe the most explosive exit in "Survivor" history, Brandon's own team forfeited the challenge so they could vote Brandon off the island. Brandon went on numerous speeches where he openly rooted for the opposing team and even had veteran host Probst looking worried at times.

In an unprecedented move, Probst held tribal council on the spot where Brandon's team voted him off the island. Probst actually had to rub Brandon's shoulders at one point to calm the young player down before leaving the island.

Luckily The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Brandon and talked to him about his on-air meltdown and exit from the show. I have to give Brandon credit for one thing though, he didn't blame show producers for making him seem crazier than he really was. When asked if there was anything fans didn't see on TV in regards to his arguments with Phillip, Brandon said, "I never really responded to him. I never disrespected him. The only time I did was the incident where I was upset with him already, and I said, "I can't handle this anymore." But it was so well-edited, and you saw really most of it. He was just disrespectful. I'm not a dog, I'm not his puppy, I'm not his child."

When asked if he had any regrets Brandon told The Hollywood Reporter, "I really, really like my edit, man. I looked like such a crybaby the last time. It's like I'm such a different person. [Viewers] got to see both sides of Brandon, good and bad. I'm the first Survivor to ever turn from hero to max-hero. I'm the biggest hero to ever play Survivor."

The 21-year-old from Katy, Texas may actually be crazy or maybe he is just playing up his "character" to the audience. What do you think?

"Survivor: Caramoan" airs Wednesday nights at 8pm on CBS. The network just recently announced the season finale will air Sunday May 12 at 8pm, followed by a hour long reunion show from Los Angeles where fans can watch Phillip and Brandon reunite.
