Kate Middleton has yet to release a royal baby name or the gender of her growing child, but she admitted yesterday at the St. Patrick's Day ceremony in Hampshire that she is hoping for a daughter. The 5-months pregnant duchess was handing out sprigs of shamrocks with her husband, Prince William, as part of a centuries-old tradition and was sporting a lovely green overcoat. 31-year-old Middleton even laughed off a clumsy moment when she got her heel stuck in a grate. Though she was busy, she got to talk with Irish Guardsman Lee Wheeler about her pregnancy.
Wheeler asked Middleton if she knew if she would be having a prince or a princess, to which the duchess responded, "Not Yet."
"She said, 'I'd like to have a boy and William would like a girl,'" Wheeler said. The conversation also revealed that the couple has yet to decide on a name. So it looks like "our little grape" is going to be the name for the time being.
Mstarz recently covered the royal baby's gender rumors thanks to a gift given to Prince Charles by the Formula one racing team of Qatar. Here is an excerpt:
"Another clue regarding the sex of the baby has come from the Formula 1 racing team from Doha, Qatar. The team gave Prince Charles a tiny dark blue racing outfit for his future grandchild. So do the colors of this outfit mean that the baby will be a boy? These are the official colors of the team so perhaps this is not a clue. But is the outfit a foreshadowing into the future career of the prince or princess?"
The new baby is due to come into this world in July and will be the third in the line of succession to the crown. Check out a short slideshow of the duke and duchess of Cambridge celebrating St. Patrick's Day.
