It's being reported that comedian Bill Cosby has officially been charged in the 2004 sexual assault case from Andrea Constand, with a bail set for $1 million. And while the former Dr. Huxtable had perhaps a handful of supporters, much of the comedy community stood at the other side, believing the over 50 women who came out allegeding that Cosby sexually assaulted them.
So, now that justice has partially been done, let's check out some tweets from those within the community, both on the stage and on television.
Comedian Jen Kirkman (Chelsea Lately/Drunk History) urged us to confront the truth of what Cosby reportedly did to these women. And yes, to stop saying "digitally penetrated":
Stop saying digitally penetrated. Bill Cosby drugged a woman & put his fingers into her dry vagina & into her BODY while she lay motionless.

Oh, and she also mentioned this:
From red carpet moments to Bill Cosby in court - why do celebs "trip" thinking it will overwhelm us with visions of their humanity. — Jen Kirkman (@JenKirkman) December 30, 2015
This is 40 writer-director Judd Apatow, a man who has been outspoken against Cosby for quite some time, took a more serious tone:
Bill Cosby has spent his life attempting to silence the women he has assaulted with threats, lawsuits and money. https://t.co/WQDSPbOc9f

As for comedian Patton Oswalt, well, it looks like he was all Cosby'ed out:
Was gonna Tweet something about Bill Cosby & immediately got tired. He's sunk below cheap shots. He needs to never have existed. — Patton Oswalt (@pattonoswalt) December 30, 2015
The League star Katie Aselton was sort of hoping Cosby would be charged with something else on top of the sexual assault:
when is bill cosby going to be charged with breaking my heart and soiling my memory of great tv?
