Cam Newton Finally Reveals Birth of Son with Girlfriend Kia "Hazel" Proctor [PHOTOS]

Finally! Carolina Panthers' starting quarterback, Cam Newton, 26, revealed that he was a new father. MStars News has learned that Newton's longtime girlfriend, Kia Proctor, 27, gave birth to the couple's son on Christmas Eve. Proctor, a former DC stripper who went by the name of "Hazel," went into labor with the couple's baby boy in Atlanta, according to People Magazine. Newton announced the news on Wednesday, December 30. "My longtime girlfriend and I were extremely blessed to have a son last week. Our family is excited and thank you all for the well wishes," he tweeted.

The football star, who has led the Panthers to a great season claimed that he kept his baby news private so that there were no distractions during the Panthers almost perfect football season. "I've been quiet about this because I didn't want to create a distraction for my team and appreciate the privacy in this joyous time," he explained.

MStars News previously reported that there were rumors floating around that Newton and Proctor were expecting a child. Earlier this year, photos emerged of Proctor concealing her baby bump. From the looks of both parents we know little baby Newton is one cutie pie...just look at his beautiful mother.

Proctor previously worked at Washington, DC's strip club Stadium Club, where she met Newton. The on-again, off-again couple made their first appearance together at the Kentucky Derby in 2013.

She also is no stranger to motherhood, Proctor has a daughter from a previous relationship.

The Panthers were undefeated in the regular season until last Sunday when the Atlanta Falcons beat them, 20-13. During the game Newton performed a new dance cradling the ball like he was rocking a baby after he made a touchdown in the first quarter. Guess that was the hint that he was now a playing and making touchdowns for his son! Last week before the game, Newton was seen leaving the practice field early, now we all know why.

Going into 2016, Newton can definitely say 2015 was a good year. Congrats! Hopefully we see some photos of the baby soon...but since Newton is very private, so that may be a miracle.
