One of the biggest upcoming films of 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, has supposedly been screened, and an anonymous Reddit user is claiming to have seen the film. User ViolatingNDA posted a review Wednesday which details their feelings on the film, as well as reveals some pretty big spoilers.
Although the report has not been verified (although the user did post a supposed picture of their verification email minus anything actually identifiable as an email and including an ad banner usually only found online), it's important to note that if this person did in fact see the film, some pretty big spoilers lie ahead. Proceed with caution!
So what did anonymous think about the film? The review is overall very positive, saying the film has good pacing. The reviewer gives glowing praises to the performances, especially that of Ben Affleck as Batman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
The reviewer praises Eisenberg first, saying, "Jesse Eisenberg as Lex is way more complex than what the trailers show. By the end of the film, you will HATE him, but at the same time, you can't help admire how capable this guy is."
They continue, "Ben Affleck as Bruce/Batman is definitely the standout performance. I was surprised/scared how different he became when he put the mask on. This Batman will come across as a villain to some viewers; he enjoys inflicting pain on criminals."
One of the big questions about the film is the question of who actress Jena Malone is playing, and ViolatingNDA clears that up. They claim that Malone plays a "crippled" Barbara Gordon (who is the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon). Gordon fits with the most widely accepted rumors of Malone's role.
The review concludes with a pretty big statement, calling the film "the greatest comic book movie since The Dark Knight." The reviewer also praises the action, and says the first two-thirds of the film detail Batman fighting Superman, with the final third of the film focusing on the Justice League, which is supposedly revealed in full by the end of the film.
The anonymous poster is continuing to answer questions about the film on the Reddit thread.
Again, the review may or may not be fake, so take it with a grain of salt. The film opens March 25, 2016.
What do you think? Is the reviewer telling the truth or do you spot holes in his story?
