Selena Gomez is currently making her rounds to promote her latest film Spring Breakers, and tonight she stopped by "The Late Show with David Letterman." It turns out that the young actress and the late night television host have something in common AND it involves Selena's ex-boyfriend, the "Baby" singer Justin Bieber. It turns out both of them have made the Biebs shed a tear or two. That's right: Selena Gomez says made Justin Bieber Cry and David Letterman claims he has as well.
During the taped interview that airs later tonight, Letterman asks the 20-year-old actress, "Last time you were here, you were with a Justin Bieber. That's not going on now."
To which Gomez responds, "No, I'm single. I'm so good."
Gomez really sells her last answer, as she sits in a sexy dress and laughs through the interview. The audience likes her response as well as they applaud her independence.
But Dave was not done with the Bieber topic. He decided to tell Selena a little story about the last time he spoke with Justin. He says:
"Now, the last time he was on, he and I got into a conversation and he said something and I said something, and then he said something and I said something, and I made him cry."
The crowds get a short chuckle in before Selena tops the story off with her own interjection. She tells the legendary host:
"Well, that makes two of us!"
Dave and the crowd love her response. Selena keeps her confident smile going through the laughter. This is the first time she has addressed her split from the pop star so it is a pretty big deal that she said it in such a way.
Now we will have to wait and see what Justin has to say after tonight. So far some fans have already responded on Twitter, saying things like:
"I have no respect for you Selena Gomez"
"Nobody knows your name. They call you Justin Bieber's Ex"
"That was arrogant"
... etc.
