Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol Devgan are among the most loved onscreen couples in Bollywood. Now, after recreating their magic in Rohit Shetty's Dilwale, Khan desires to feature with Devgan for another movie. This time, however, he wants it to be a mature romance between the two – not like the ones they have been doing for such a long time.
It was back in 1993 when Khan and Devgan shared screen for the first time, performing in the film film, Baazigar. After that the couple has shared screen more than seven times on some blockbuster films such as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum and My Name is Khan. Now, after praise from the fans and critics for their pairing in Dilwale, Khan is hoping to do another movie with the actress if he comes across a good script.
At a recent press event, Khan was quoted by NDTV Movies, saying:
"If there's a nice film, if it's interesting and different, maybe a mature love story, it would be nice. [Bollywood doesn't] make too many of those."
"Perhaps Kajol and I, well, I could be totally presumptuous about it, but we would be perhaps a good pair as we have done films together for the last 22 years. It will be interesting to be cast in a mature love story, not a peppy or happy-go-lucky one like we've done before. In our stage, age and life, of whatever that we've seen, maybe we will be able to essay a different kind of emotion as actors," he added.
The pairing of Khan and Devgan has always been successful in Bollywood. While explaining the magic they both recreate onscreen every time, Khan said that they both have worked together in movies with different genres and their fans has always appreciated it.
"Lot of the credit goes to the people who have made the films with us, and then most of the credit goes to the audience which for years, have appreciated us," Khan concluded.
Khan has two big budget films lined up in 2016, Raees and Fan. Whereas Devgan may star with in her husband's film.
