Bill Cosby Supporters: Waka Flocka Defends Comedian Amid Sexual Assault Charge

Bill Cosby has been largely known lately as an alleged rapist and less as a famed comedian. The legacy he left behind as the African-American father figure to emulate has been destroyed by the accusations and media coverage. Cosby has been charged with sexual assault in Pennsylvania. And despite the news, there are a few celebritities who are outraged at the charges against Cosby, including rapper Waka Flocka Flame

The Daily Caller reports that the rapper, whose real name is Juaquin Malphurs, voiced his opinions on Twitter as to why he feels Cosby is being framed.

To give a little background on the case, it is alleged to have happened 12 years ago in his home, the publication reports. Mrs. Camille Cosby is not said to have been there but will be deposed on the cases between Cosby and his over 50 accusers.

Flocka believes all the allegations against Cosby are shams and propaganda, The Washington Post reports. The rapper took to social media to voice his opinions in a series of tweets.

A couple of days prior, comedian Eddie Griffin defended Cosby during his interview with DJ Vlad on December 30. Griffin states, "There is a systematic effort to destroy every black male entertainer's image."

He goes on to further state that no African American leaves the entertainment industry clean, "Nobody leaves this business clean... You're not going to die clean."

The Washington Post reports that Cosby was once known as the ideal father, husband, son, brother, friend and grandfather of the black community due to his role on The Cosby Show. With that, he dished constant knowledge and life lessons in Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids in the 70s. Along with countless honorary degrees, Cosby earned his PhD at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst by writing his dissertation on that show, the publication reports. Holding education in high regard, Cosby and his wife donated $20 million to Spelman College in 1988, making the two among the top philanthropists in the nation.
