Lil Wayne and Birdman have been beefing with each other for what seems like forever. The two rappers, who were once joined by the hip and occasionally by the lips, have been at each other's throats for quite some time. Luckily for Cash Money/Young Money fans, the beef between the two rappers is on its way out. It is being reported that the Cash Money executives are finally waving the white flag. The two have decided to settle their lawsuit and work on their differences.
According to TMZ, the partying between the two rappers on New Year's Eve must have went really well because they are now trying to reconcile. The infamous fight that has turned into a legal battle is now being discussed in an adult manner between the two.
The site reports that rapper Mack Maine is actually responsible for getting the two executives together. Maine arranged a phone conference between the 33-year-old and Birdman a few hours before Drake's party. The two discussed their issues concerning the direction of Young Money and the millions of dollars Weezy has been claiming Birdman owes him.
Sources have informed TMZ that both executives have strong feelings about the situation. Weezy is reportedly so stuck on his feelings that he refuses to dismiss his lawsuit unless the two reach an amicable agreement.
Weezy and Birdman have been beefing with each other since 2014. The problems between the two started when the 33-year-old rapper called out the head Cash Money executive for preventing the release of Tha Carter V last year. Since then, Weezy has been throwing several shots at Birdman. Apparently things have even gotten so bad between the two the future of Young Money artists Drake and Nicki Minaj were uncertain to what label they would be under.
Birdman gave an interview with Power 105.1's Angie Martinez explaining his side of things.
Wayne took to Twitter airing out Birdman and Cash Money in late 2014. His tweets, which have now been deleted, stated his distaste for Cash Money.
"I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain't that easy," the rapper tweeted. "I am a prisoner and so is my creativity."
If these two do decide to bury the hatchet we're sure they will be spotted sharing another "father and son kiss" in no time.
