There have been several theories surrounding the Star Wars: The Force Awakens villain Supreme Leader Snoke, including one where he is actually the infamous Darth Plagueis who was mentioned in the prequels. After much speculation, Andy Serkis, who plays the mysterious character in Episode VII, has just revealed the truth about Snoke's identity!
Entertainment Weekly has just released two new images from The Force Awakens which features the film's performance capture characters, Lupita Nyong'o's diminutive Maz Kanata as well as Serkis' gigantic baddie. In addition to that, Serkis has finally confirmed the truth about Snoke being simply ... Snoke.
That's right; Snoke might look ancient enough (and he certainly seems evil enough) to be the fabled Sith Lord that Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious spoke about to a hopeful Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith, but he most certainly is NOT Darth Plagueis.

"Supreme Leader Snoke is quite an enigmatic character, and strangely vulnerable at the same time as being quite powerful," Serkis said of his character. "Obviously he has a huge agenda. He has suffered a lot of damage. As I said, there is a strange vulnerability to him, which belies his true agenda, I suppose."
Snoke's vulnerability was already hinted upon in The Force Awakens when he only appeared to General Hux and Kylo Ren in a massive hologram. There is a possibility that the villain has become weak and cannot get up from his own chair, but it certainly didn't make him any less terrifying. At this point, fans are looking forward to finding out what Snoke's ultimate plan is.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is currently on its third week and continues to dominate the U.S. box office with an astounding $742.2 million haul within its 17-day run. The film is expected to defeat Avatar and become the highest grossing movie of all time.
