Allegiance, the musical starring George Takei and Lea Salonga, about the Japanese-American internment camps during World War II, ends its Broadway run next month. Here's our question: Did Sulu from Star Trek finally convince GOP nominee Donald Trump to watch it after Trump's comments regarding Muslims?

When Trump suggested that all Muslim immigrants should temporarily be banned from entering the U.S., Takei made comparisons to the WWII-era internment camps. Ever since then, the actor has held an open seat at the show specifically for Trump, so that the billionaire politician will learn about this dark time in U.S. history.

Per Takei's own count, as of January 3rd, the billionaire politician hadn't showed up, and the seat had been left available for him for 24 days -- and Trump doesn't have a whole lot of time left to get schooled on this dark time in U.S. history.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, reps for Allegiance have announced the show will end its Broadway run in less than a month, after it struggled with ticket sales and mixed reviews since the beginning. While the show wasn't everyone's cup of tea, Takei, and particularly Salonga (the singing voice of Disney princesses Mulan and Jasmine), were praised for their performances.

"We are so proud to have brought George Takei's very personal family history to the stage and - in the process - to have surfaced a chapter of history that was painfully unknown to so many," said the team behind Allegiance in a recent statement, through Playbill. "We look forward to continuing to share this essential story - more relevant than ever, given today's headlines - and this moving score with theatergoers across the country and around the world for many years to come."

While there are still no tour dates, it seems clear that the #TrumpWatch will continue until the billionaire shows up.
