Florida Golf Coast University earned its first NCAA Tournament/March Madness bid in the school's history on Sunday, March 17. Coach Andy Enfield has a lot to be proud of - both professionally and personally. Following FGCU's "Cinderella" NCAA Tourney bid, Enfield's sexy, former supermodel wife Amanda Marcum Enfield began causing quite a stir on the web. Is the former "Maxim" bombshell the older, "MILF" version of social media's current obsession with Katherine Webb?
Marcum, 34, has graced the covers of "Vogue," "Maxim," and "Elle." The stunning blonde's also walked the runways of Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier as well as appeared in ads for Armani, Victoria's Secret, and L'Oreal among several others.
In a recent issue of "Sports Illustrated," the couple describes their random encounter which eventually blossomed into a love and then happy marriage. Apparently Marcum, an Oklahoma native, was looking for a ride from New York to Boston so she could watch her hometown Cowboys play in the 2003 NCAA tournament. Enfield offered to drive her, and the rest is history - the duo married just six months later.
Now, Marcum loves her life as a stay-at-home mom and wife. "I'm happy with the choices I made," the former model told "Naples Daily News" in 2011. "Andy keeps me laughing. He's a great person to depend on, and he's a great friend and great father. Takes care of his family very well. He's very entertaining and funny, but he's also very responsible."
While Enfield has led FGCU in an awesome season, the 15-seeded Eagles take on the heavily-favored 2-seeded Georgetown Hoyas on Friday, March 22. Noted sports analyst Nate Silver gives the team a mere 10 percent chance of pulling off an upset.
At least Enfield has a beautiful, loving wife to come home to, no matter what the NCAA Tournament outcome!
