Ricky Gervais 'Special Correspondents' Film Picked Up by Netflix

Following word that comedian Ricky Gervais and actor Eric Bana were teaming up for a comedy film title Special Correspondents, it's now being reported that the film will be picked up by the fine folks over at Netflix. The online streaming service is of course no stranger to Gervais, as they are the home for his latest series Derek, which aired its finale special back in Dec. 2014. The Hollywood Reporter notes that Special Correspondents will premiere sometime next year on Netflix. The film follows Gervais as a radio journalist who goes so far as to fake the news stories he reports. Read More »

Netflix Hires a New Comedy Exec to Produce More Comedy

Netflix is stepping up their game in the comedy department, readers. After releasing the uber successful Tina Fey, Robert Carlock-led Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – starring the one and only Ellie Kemper – word has it that the streaming service has hired Unviersal's VP of Comedy Andrew Weil to oversee their comedy just under Jane Wiseman. Deadline is reporting on the new Netflix hire, stating that Weil was a mere 27-years-old when he was brought aboard Uni TV. He came to the team back in 2011 and help fine-tune Fox's hit Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Before that, he was a main go-to over at BermanBraun. Read More »

Pervy 'Jeopardy' Contestant Answers "Age of Consent" Instead of Puberty [WATCH]

Well, this was very, very (very, very) awkward. Unless, of course, you're like this Jeopardy contestant, Tom, and didn't realize that the legal age of consent in the United States is NOT 12 in girls and 14 in boys. In this below clip of a recent Jeopardy episode, host Alex Trebek is pretty (understandably) stunned when he's given the worst answer possible in the history of his game show. Trebek gave the clue, "In common law, the age of this, signaling adulthood, is presumed to be 14 in boys & 12 in girls." President Obama Declined Invite to Appear in 'Entourage' Movie [VIDEO]

The Entourage movie is gearing up to come out this summer, folks. And while we can certainly plan for a number of A-list celebrity cameos, it appears there's one guy creator Doug Ellin really wanted but couldn't get: President Barack Obama. Longtime Conan O'Brien Writer Leaving for 'Late Show with Stephen Colbert'

If you've watched each and every variation of Conan O'Brien over the years, including Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, and finally, CONAN, then you know exactly who Brian Stack is. If not by name, then undoubtedly by face and talent. The longtime writer has been with the famed comedian for 18 years, starting way back when Late Night was getting off the ground at NBC. And now, it's being reported that Stack is leaving O'Brien and heading back to New York to work on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
